Patch 1.1 for Cyberpunk 2077 may corrupt the saved position

We informed you about the release last night first major update for Cyberpunk 2077, which according to the developers should fix a large number of problems. Shortly after its release, however, players began to complain about a new bug that causes at least temporary damage to the stored position and occurs directly in the main storyline.

The bug is in the Down on the Street mission, about the last third of the main campaign. Takamura is supposed to call you on this mission, but the call is stuck, which makes it impossible to continue. According to the players’ experience so far, loading an older saved position does not help either, as the game will break again when you get to this point.

CD Projet support currently recommends the following solutions:

  1. Load the older saved position (it must be before Takamura and V leave the Wakako office).
  2. V must complete the dialogue with Takamura in front of the office immediately.
  3. As soon as you finish the conversation and your mission progress is updated, move the time forward 23 hours.
  4. The progress of the missions should now be possible.

But even this solution is not ideal, because you can lose much of your progress (depending on where you saved the game manually). An alternative solution could therefore be to wait for the next patch or the promised major update, which will arrive in February.
