Zamora, Michoacán.- The colorful rugs of Patamban are protagonists of decorating two festivities in the state of Michoacánthe first and very important for the community of Purépecha origin, is the religious holiday dedicated to the town’s patron saint, Christ the King; while the second is a cultural activity of the Morelia Music Festival (FMM).
This floral art has stood out worldwide, which is why it has been named as the Inventory of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Mexico within ephemeral art. It is known that this activity is practiced in the community belonging to the municipality of Tangancícuaro. for more than 30 years.
