With two goals and an assist, David Pastrňák was the architect of the Boston Hockey players’ 5: 1 victory over the best team in the competition, and in the second game in a row, he was elected the main star of the match in the NHL. He won the award on Saturday after deciding to win 3: 2 on the Ottawa Ice.
The most productive Czech in the competition played the fourth three-point match of the season, he improved his balance to 49 points and with 27 goals he was already among the ten best shooters of the competition.
While against Ottawa Pastrňák only finished the four-match waiting for enrollment in the Canadian scoring, this time at the end of the first period he opened the score after running into the rebounded puck in the left circle after a cross pass.
In the second period, he increased to a 3: 1 cannon without preparation similar to the one decided by Saturday’s match.
With 55 minutes played, the home side managed to get a 1 – 0 lead as Charlie Coyle puk flipped the ball in after a cross from the right.
Taylor Hall, the author of three goal passes, also scored three points in the match. The Bruins consolidated eighth place in the Eastern Conference. Avalanche failed on the opponents’ rinks for the first time in seven games. Nevertheless, they still have the best balance in the league, but still only a one-point lead over the leader of the Eastern Conference Florida.
