Pastora Garrote, student at the CEU Center for Professional Studies: “When I finish, I would like to continue training”

Sometimes, young people are not clear about what they want to dedicate themselves to professionally when the time comes to decide. There are many who change their minds once they start some studies to start others that do respond to their aspirations and the vocational training It represents a very attractive training path for those who wish to have an adequate preparation for the demand of the labor market, in a short time, but without sacrificing quality.

It is the case of Pastor Garrotewhich is currently undergoing 1º of the Higher Cycle in Marketing and Advertising. At the age of 21, he remembers that «after finishing high school and passing the university entrance exams, I started the Degree in Business Administration and Management (ADE), but I decided to leave it because, although I liked the business world and knew that I wanted to dedicate myself to something related to it, I preferred to direct my future more to the subject of advertising and public relations ».

For this reason, he opted for the cycle he is currently doing, “I hope to finish it with the best possible grades, with the aim of doing an internship in a good company, where I have the chance to stay working and thus increase my work experience”. In addition to her desire to start working, she acknowledges that he would like to “continue training and carry out other higher training cycles such as Sales Management and Commercial Spaces or Transport and Logistics, which add to and complement my studies in Marketing and Advertising».

Regarding her experience as a student at the CEU Center for Professional Studies, she highlights «the proximity of the teaching staff and your support so that we can make the most of our time academically, as well as the friends that I will take with me for life. I believe that maintaining a relationship of trust with teachers instills us with security, helps us to progress both in knowledge and in our personal skills”.

One of the aspects most valued by vocational training students is the fact that do internships during their training period. «For us, it means being able to apply the knowledge acquired during these two years and, of course, increase it, thus gaining experience and assuming new responsibilities. In this way, job opportunities are generated that, in my case, will make me grow as a Marketing and Advertising professional”, he concludes.
