Citilink airline with flight number QG 1184 to Ngloram Blora Airport canceled its flight from Jakarta because the passenger’s emergency door was opened. One of the passengers also revealed the seconds when the plane’s emergency door was opened.
“Yes, one of the passengers canceled leaving the emergency door while the plane was about to depart,” said Purwondo when contacted detik.com, Monday (20/12/2021).
Purwondo is one of a group of village heads who want to go home after attending a technical guidance event (Bimtek) in Jakarta.
“The passengers consisted of village heads from the Kradenan, Tunjungan and Kunduran sub-districts who had finished the Bimtek event. Incidentally this was the 5th batch, including me,” said the head of Ngrawoh village, Blora.
The incident began when the flight attendant was explaining safety procedures while boarding the plane. That’s when, said Purwondo, one of the village heads who participated in the group suddenly opened the emergency door.
“Initially after the flight attendant explained about the technical security on the plane. But suddenly one of the village heads opened the emergency door. cramped (hot) continues to be opened,” said Purwondo while chuckling.
As a result of the incident, the flight which was scheduled to take off at 09.45 WIB was delayed for 2 hours. However, later the flight was cancelled.
“I was told to wait for 2 hours. But in the end, it was cancelled. But previously the airline had offered a flight to Juanda, Surabaya. There were some who joined, some chose to take the train to return to Blora,” he explained.
Meanwhile, Head of the Ngloram Airport Work Unit (Kasatpel), Abd Rozak, confirmed that Citilink’s flight from Jakarta was canceled today. The reason is that a passenger opened the emergency door.
“That’s right, (the Citilink flight) was canceled because there was something technical. The information I received was because a passenger opened the emergency door,” said Rozak when asked for confirmation, today.
Rozak explained that it took time to check the air pressure after the emergency doors were opened.
“It cannot be closed and continue to fly. It must be checked, because there is a leak or not related to air pressure in the cabin. It takes time to check,” he said.
