Passenger transportation to Lithuania is also prohibited. SPKC publishes latest travel restrictions on Covid-19 – Society and Politics – News

According to the SPKC, therefore, regular passenger transportation to Andorra, Luxembourg, Croatia, San Marino and Lithuania will be banned from Monday.

Currently, the self-isolation threshold in Latvia is set at 50 cases per 100,000 inhabitants. A week ago, the figure was lower in the Vatican and Iceland, but this week only in the Vatican.

For the United Kingdom and non-EU and non-EEA countries, self-isolation is not required for travel from Japan, South Korea, Rwanda, Australia, New Zealand, Thailand and Singapore, but for travel from Uruguay. These countries are among those allowed to cross the EU’s external border.

The updated list of countries will enter into force on 5 December.

Additional conditions apply to persons employed in medical institutions, social care institutions and educational establishments who are in direct contact with other people, such as doctors assisting the patient or teachers working with children.

These people will have to take the Covid-19 test on day 8 after leaving the country. If the test is negative, people will be able to return to work on the 11th day after leaving the country. If the person does not want to perform the test, then the duration of self-isolation will remain the previous one – 14 days.

The SPC does not recommend travel to countries with cumulative rates above 50 (14-day cumulative Covid-19 cases per 100,000 population in the European Union, European Economic Area countries, as well as Switzerland and the United Kingdom and other individual countries), according to Cabinet 2020. of 9 June 360 “Epidemiological precautions to limit the spread of Covid-19 infection”, paragraph 35.
