A female passenger was removed from an easyJet flight from Belfast to Turkey on Saturday afternoon following an alleged assault. According to Belfast Live, the woman was thrown off the flight from Belfast International Airport to Dalaman in Turkey after assaulting a male passenger just as the plane was about to take off. The cabin crew alerted airport police to the disturbance, and the pilot had to return the aircraft to the airport. The authorities removed the passenger before the plane was able to take off safely to its destination.

EasyJet takes incidents of this nature seriously and does not tolerate abusive or threatening behaviour. The airline’s spokesperson said in a statement that its cabin crew are trained to assess all situations and act quickly and appropriately to ensure the safety of the flight and passengers are not compromised at any time.

In the incident, EasyJet flight EZY3055 from Belfast International Airport to Dalaman (Turkey) on 8 April returned to its stand because of a disruptive passenger. The aircraft was met by the police, and the passenger was offloaded before the flight continued to Dalaman.
