A plane crash occurred on Christmas Day in Kazakhstan when a passenger plane crashed near Aktau. There were 67 people and five crew members on board the plane and according to the first information there are reports of dead.

The Emergencies Ministry of Kazakhstan confirmed that a plane carrying out the Baku-Grozny flight crashed near Akhtau, according to news agencies.

Before the crash, the plane made several circles over the airport.
Kazakh authorities said initial information indicated there were survivors.
The plane belongs to Azerbaijan Airlines, according to Kazakh authorities, cited by the IFAX news agency.
