A passenger on a flight of the United Airlines was arrested for opening an emergency hatch and slipping off a wing of the moving plane after landing at Chicago. Flight 2478 arriving from San Diego landed at O’Hare International Airport at around 4.30am and was taxiing to the gate when, the New York Post reports, the man opened the door and boarded the wing and then slide on the runway. “Our ground crew stopped the passenger outside the plane who was handed over to law enforcement. The plane continued to the gate where everyone landed safely, ”a United representative told the Post.

A surreal moment told by the witnesses who were on board with the man and witnessed the scene. Including Maryellen Eagelston who took and posted a photo of the man’s wide open fire escape and told Wgn News, “I think everyone on the plane was just shocked at that scene. I heard the passengers scream “No, no, no” and then I saw him get out of the hatch and get on the wing. ” The hostesses also came running asking what was happening. “The passenger didn’t even get out of the emergency exit near his seat – emphasized Eagelston – but he went from one side of the plane to the other, climbing over four people.”
