The Presidential Security Forces (Paspampres) have begun to practice driving electric vehicles. Paspampres will drive an electric car to escort the heads of state to the G20 summit in Bali next November.
PT Hyundai Motors Indonesia (HMID) held a training session for G20 drivers. This training is dedicated to the personnel in charge of driving Hyundai’s line of electric cars. This training activity lasted five days starting from 19 – 23 September 2022 and took place at the Hyundai Training Academy, Cikarang.
As part of the Indonesian G20 Presidency and the G20 Summit taking place in Nusa Dua, Bali, November 15-16, 2022, this training aims to introduce vehicle functions and improve the driving experience in different Hyundai units that are official G20 vehicles, namely Genesis Electrified G80 and IONIQ 5.

This training provides an in-depth briefing for the Paspampres team, assisted by a joint team of Paspampres, the Secretariat of State and the TNI that will carry Genesis Electrified G80, Hyundai IONIQ 5 and Hyundai IONIQ Electric.

“Through the G20 Driver Training program, we want to help support and ensure the smooth running of the G20 Summit so that it runs smoothly. Training participants will experience firsthand the technology, driving experience and training. for emergency conditions from Hyundai electric vehicles, “he said he said.
During this training program, Paspampres will obtain practical and practical material in the form of product knowledge, from the features to the various functions of the latest technology from the unit that will be used during the event. Participants also receive training on how to prevent emergency accidents occurring in automobiles and how to deal with them.
The Paspampre in service also has the opportunity to drive the unit which will be used to experience the performance, comfort and safety firsthand while driving.
Participants will be divided into eight lots and will use nine EV units including three Genesis Electrified G80 units, three IONIQ 5 units and three IONIQ Electric units during the training session.
Meanwhile, Hyundai has supplied more than 450 electric vehicles for the G20 summit. It consists of the Genesis Electrified G80 which will be used by heads of state, the Hyundai IONIQ 5 and the IONIQ Electric.
