“For ten days, both the office of the President of PASOK and the former Speaker of the Parliament, Mr. Apostolos Kaklamanis, tried to contact the founding member of the Movement, Mrs. Sylva Akrita”, by phone, sources from Harilaou Trikoupi report, regarding the post by Elena Akritas who pointed out that they did not invite her mother, a former MP and founding member of PASOK.
“After repeated annoyances, Mr. Kaklamanis informed her about the anniversary event in Zappeion. However, there has since been no response to repeated phone calls to provide details of the event,” they add.
“Nikos Androulakis deeply respects all the founding members of PASOK. We regret that with offensive characterizations on social media, Mrs. Elena Akrita is attempting to create misleading impressions”, they conclude.
For the above, Apostolos Kaklamanis made a statement describing in detail his own participation: “I undertook to look for her through the SYRIZA MP Mrs. Elena Akrita, thinking that reasons of political decency imposed it. I couldn’t do it on two of her phones – one of them didn’t even work. At the same time, I tried through five (5) phones that were registered from the past in my office and succeeded in one of them to talk to Mrs. Sylva Akrita and inform her about the decision of PASOK. It should be noted that, as she told me, she was away from her home for a week.
Following this, the PASOK office tried, but it was not possible to contact her, on the phones she had in mind.
If there is any responsibility for this misunderstanding, it obviously belongs to me.
However, this does not allow, I think, what Mrs. Elena Akrita mentions personally and about the president of PASOK who unwittingly, I hope, allows various anti-PASOK people to rant against him and against PASOK to which we still belong and her mother me too.”
