In politics, “it is so if you think so” does not apply, since there are often facts that overturn what politicians are trying to defend from time to time. On the contrary, in this particular case, the evidence shows “hand in hand with Androulakis and Mitsotakis”!
Can at PASOK to tear their robes – in the pre-election presidential campaign – about who was less “Mitsotaki”, less neo-liberal and less “right-wing” but the figures of the Center for Liberal Studies (KEFIM) on the opposition’s consent to government bills in the last year eye. Even worse are the figures for the first four years of Kyriakos Mitsotakis where PASOK agreed by approximately 50%!
So it seems that the consensus champion for the period (1 July 2023 – July 2024) was the PASOK of Nikos Androulakis with 32.8%, while the official opposition party – SYRIZA – comes second but with half the percentage. With 16.4%.
For history, the third party in consensus is Spartans with 14.9%, followed by Victory with 9%, Freedom Sailing with 7.5%, New Left with 6.5% and Greek Solution with 3%. Typical is the KKE with 0%
Almost 50% of PASOK’s approval in Mitsotakis’ first four-year term
If these figures seem overwhelming, the consensus of PASOK during the first term of Kyriakos Mitsotakis (July 2019-April 2023) reached 50%, specifically:
Consensus had reached an overwhelming 49.4% indicating a “convergence”.
Now if PASOK executives try to separate their position from the party’s past, it is their problem and it is up to the citizens to judge. The facts speak for themselves.
But how is it possible to separate your position with a government with which – although in the opposition – you agree by 50% with the bills it brings and you denounce?
