“The European Commission has today confirmed the failure of the Greek Government to effectively protect the interests of the Greek ethnic minority in Albania,” PASOK-Movement for Change commented in a statement from the party’s Press Office.
He pointed out how “fundamental issues, such as the rule of law and the protection of minorities, which are directly related to Albania’s accession process, due to the manipulations of the Government are now characterized as “bilateral”. He personally criticized the prime minister stating that “it is now clear that for Mr. Mitsotakis the party interest is above the national one, with a direct consequence of the isolation of the Greek positions in Europe”.
