We had an agreement, without… but “signatures” after the end of the meeting of the representatives of the two candidates for the presidency of PaSoK. The meeting started at 18:00 and lasted 45 minutes. In the short meeting, the decisions were made in a good atmosphere.
Initially there was an agreement regarding the format of the debate. As it became known, the candidates will move in a similar telefight model as last time. There will also be one more thematic section regarding the cost of living and the everyday life of citizens. The unity was put on the table by the side of Haris Doukas and the side of Nikos Androulakis accepted it without any problem.
The dialogue between the two staffs was quick, constructive and substantial. The only thorn that exists at the moment concerns the date of the telefight.
The tight time frame
The reason is that on Wednesday it is very difficult to carry out, there is no time to agree the terms and organize the production mechanism, while there are objective difficulties concerning the following days as well. Also, Nikos Androulakis will be on a planned tour of Ilia, which he had not visited in the first round.
On Thursday there is the football match between the national team and the England national team and this is a certain obstacle, as the interest of public opinion will be reduced. Also on Friday, Nikos Androulakis is holding a pre-election rally in Thessaloniki.
The representatives of the two gladiators will return in the near future to discuss the date when the telefight can take place, as both sides must come to an agreement with the organizing staff of each candidate. The time left is minimal and the candidates are measuring their moves very well.
