PASOK-KINAL candidate Nadia Giannakopoulou seeks the participation of the PASOK community in the formation of the political platform. The draft of her political plan for the strengthening of PASOK and for the reconstruction of the country, in the form of a declaration of her candidacy for the presidency of the party, was made public on the evening of Wednesday, July 31, 2024. However, the text will receive the final its form, after a month’s consultation, based on comments, interventions and ideas for applied policy. At the beginning of September, the text of the positions of the presidential candidate will be made public in view of the internal party elections of October 6, 2024 for the leadership of PASOK.
It is interesting that in the Declaration of her candidacy, which was put up for public consultation on the website of the MP B2 Western sector, so that there are observations, additions and changes from the world of PASOK, there is a general position: the solutions that PASOK will propose for the problems of citizens must be included “in the always responsible framework of ensuring social cohesion and the national perspective and well-being”…
Member of Parliament B’2 Western Sector of Athens – Lawyer – Member of the Political Council PA.SO.K. Nadia Giannakopoulou defines PASOK as “a patriotic, progressive and reformist party, an ideological body of the Central Space and Social Democracy in Greece”. He points out that PASOK “existed for decades and remains the center-left party in our country and walks in political life with a clear, logical, convincing and responsible speech, opposed to any kind of populism and far from any hetero-determination. It addresses and authentically expresses all citizens from the fringes of New Democracy to SYRIZA”.
In fact, he outlines the elements that make up PASOK with the following characteristics:
-it is a self-luminous political space, which does not determine its attitude by contemporary party affiliations.
-He believes in convergences, consensuses and collaborations that arise as national and social necessities and not as a flag of opportunity for party survival.
– It must proceed with autonomy, with a clear horizon, a clear political vision and perspective, “without seeking “salvation” through nebulous, fanciful proposals for coexistence with parties that belong to other ideological, political and value areas, such as SYRIZA and Demokratiki Left”.
Nadia Giannakopoulou proposes that PASOK, regardless of its position on the political map, must pursue the implementation of its political program, taking initiatives, mobilizing social forces and forming convergences, collaborations and consensuses. He also considers it crucial to promote the osmosis of the party’s ideas and potential with the field of applied politics, strengthening APSOK’s managerial and governmental characteristics.
It prioritizes for PASOK, among others, the following issues:
– To expand and strengthen its relationship with the social majority in every geographical area, in every social and professional area. To reforge his Kinetic character.
– To develop his governmental characteristics through the pursuit of the implementation of his policies already from the position of the opposition and the emergence of a new leadership group with a successful presence in the economic and social life of Greece and internationally.
