Unity and governability is the double message that the president of PASOK seeks to send Nikos Androulakis with the reorganization of the party and the “reshaping” of the parliamentary representation.
In the context of the imminent changes in the operation of the party and the redistribution of roles of the executive potential of Charilaou Trikoupis, after the internal party elections, the president of PASOK Nikos Androulakis and the former minister met early on Friday afternoon Anna Diamantopoulouwhich ran for the presidency.
The meeting did not take place in Harilaou Trikoupi, according to the first information. Nikos Androulakis and Anna Diamantopoulou exchanged views on the changes needed by the party, while the president of PASOK referred to his plans that will unfold with public announcements gradually from next Monday. According to information, Nikos Androulakis has proposed to Anna Diamantopoulou an enhanced role in the party. It is open to the possibility that it concerns the political planning or the formation of the strategy model for the governmental perspective.
On Saturday (October 19) there will be an agreement for communication between Nikos Androulakis and the deputy of A΄Athens Pavlos Gerulanowho had also contested for the party presidency. The intention of Nikos Androulakis is beyond an important heavy portfolio (economics and finances most likely), against the “shadow government” he is preparing through the changes in the parliamentary group, to also propose him an honorary position, with an enhanced and leading role in the parliament.
On Sunday, communication with the mayor of Athens will follow Harry Doukas for a detailed discussion about his role in Harilaou Trikoupi, and in fact with a position at the core of the party. And the candidates in the internal party leadership battle will participate in the small-member informal policy-making body for major issues, which will meet under the chairmanship of Nikos Androulakis, at regular intervals (weekly and/or more often if necessary).
