/ world today news/ The member of the Executive Bureau of the BSP, Kostadin Paskalev, has confirmed his resignation before the plenary session of the Socialists, “24 Chasa” reports.
Paskalev resigned from the Executive Bureau 2 weeks ago because of disagreement with the tone in the discussion for a presidential candidate, which led to strong tension in the party and a sharp rebuke in the circles of the leadership.
Yuri Aslanov also resigned then because of the candidacy of Maya Manolova. However, the leader of the party, Cornelia Ninova, announced that resignations are not accepted.
At today’s meeting of the National Assembly of the BSP, Paskalev raised the topic himself, after such an item was not included in the agenda.
“I will not behave like a mouse and I will tell myself. The ego of our leaders has materialized in a scandal due to a lack of morals, we have replaced the principled with the personal and we are settling accounts,” said Pascalev. He explained that he was the only one who personally told Maya Manolova that he considered her unsuitable as a presidential candidate.
“I will not work in such an environment”, stressed Kastadine Paskalev.
