/ world today news/ Former president Georgi Parvanov was going to step down from the leadership position in ABV today.
This would take place during the party congress in the NDK.
The news of Parvanov’s resignation came a month after the disastrous result of Ivaylo Kalfin in last year’s presidential elections. Rumen Petkov and Ivaylo Kalfin are expected to retire together with Georgi Parvanov.
At the congress, ABV will also adopt an election platform with which to appear in the upcoming early parliamentary elections.
