Shashi Tharoor wants to take action against the CCPs who declared their support for Mallikarjun Kharge in the AICC presidential election. Tharoor asked the electoral committee to look into support for circumventing the circular. Meanwhile, the Telangana CCP has called for the withdrawal of Tharoor’s appointment.
Tharoor is unhappy that K. Sudhakaran has spoken out in support of Kharge and Telangana CCP asked him to collect his ticket as the Electoral Committee issued a circular stating that those in position should not take sides.
Tharoor also believes that this is the circular issued by the Kharge election committee, which is concerned that the CCPs may announce their advertising support. Tharoor has also raised a serious allegation that he has not yet been given the voter phone numbers he needs to start his campaign. While the leadership and groups including Satheesan and Sudhakaran have declared their support for Kharge, Tharoor’s eyes are on the vows of young people and conscience. Tharoor aims to get top marks in his own soil with two days of campaigning.
