It is reported that the party government has prepared a plan to supply a total of 850,000 houses nationwide, including 325,000 units in Seoul.

This is the largest supply volume for the Moon Jae-in government.

The supply was secured through public redevelopment and redevelopment, and high-density development in station area, low-rise residential and semi-industrial areas, and it is known that the proportion of redevelopment and reconstruction is particularly high.

The party officials explained that the target site for public redevelopment and reconstruction overlaps a large part with the existing New Town cancellation area.

In order to speed up the project, it was decided to amend the relevant laws to ease the requirement for resident consent for redevelopment and reconstruction from more than three-quarters to two-thirds of the current.

It is expected to include a plan to expand the radius of the subway station area from 350m to 500m in order to activate the development of the station area.

The party’s meetings will be attended by House Representative Kim Tae-nyeon, Policy Committee Chairman Hong Ik-pyo, Chairman Jin Sun-mi, National Assembly Chairman of Land, Infrastructure and Transport, and Minister of Land, Infrastructure and Transport Byun Chang-heum from the government.
