Partly Sunny Skies, Thunderstorms Threatened Before Heat Wave Hits – NBC Chicago

CHICAGO – Chicago residents and visitors will feel a little bit of everything this weekend and for days to come as summer temperatures get even closer.

And it is that, this Saturday we will have a partially sunny sky in the morning with temperatures that reach the range of high 70 degrees before having the threat of downpours and even possible isolated storms in the afternoon.

On Saturday night, we will feel cool temperatures in the 60s range.

Sunday’s outlook will be the other way around, as there will be new threats of rain and storms during the morning hours before the sky clears and remains mostly cloudy in the afternoon.

Already entering the work week, a strong heat wave will come from the south of the country to hit the Midwest and the northeast of the nation.

For Tuesday and Wednesday of next week, temperatures will rise to the high 90s accompanied by high levels of humidity, so the wind chill can exceed 100 degrees. It is very important that during both days you stay well hydrated and away from the sun’s rays to avoid heat stroke.

According to forecast models, the rest of the work week will be above average for the time of year with highs in the 80s range with no threat of rain or storms.
