Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu attended the 20th MIKTA Ministerial Meeting, which was held via videoconference.

Minister Çavuşoğlu noted that MIKTA’s contributions to world peace and stability were reaffirmed during the meeting, during which the situation in Ukraine was also discussed.
On the occasion of this meeting, Türkiye assumed the presidency of the MIKTA in place of Australia. Minister Çavuşoğlu said our priorities are global health, effective migration management and food security.
The MIKTA was created in 2013 as a consultation and coordination mechanism between the foreign ministers of Mexico, Indonesia, the Republic of Korea, Türkiye and Australia, and aims to bring constructive contributions to world peace and stability and to enhancing cooperation among its members.
