Participate in the “With you Back to School” sale

For the fifth time, Univision 41 New York kicks off its annual “With You Back to School” campaign on August 12, which aims to help hundreds of families prepare for the new school year.

In partnership with the NYC Hall of Science, Catholic Charities of Brooklyn & Queens, Casita Maria, Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of New York, City University of New Jersey and other organizations, panel sessions with experts, meetings with city groups and gifts for families in need .

This year, Univision 41 New York will be distributing over 5,000 backpacks and school supplies.

“The profound impact that ‘Back to School With You’ has on our community has inspired us to expand to a five-day campaign. “We are excited to continue the collaboration with partners to support families in preparing students for the upcoming school year,” said Roberto Yañez, Northeast Regional Manager / President and General Manager of Univision 41 New York, in a statement.

“In our 90th anniversary of serving Latino and diverse communities in the South Bronx and East Harlem, the Casita María Arts and Education Center is pleased to host Univision for its annual ‘Contigo Back to School,” said Félix Urrutia, Executive Director at Casita Maria.

“The time back to school can be very exciting, but also very challenging for families in our community. With the cost of school supplies on the rise, Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of New York is pleased to partner with Univision 41 NY on the ‘Contigo Back to School’ event to provide essential supplies so our children can start the prepared school year. ”, highlighted Msgr. Kevin Sullivan, Executive Director.

Also the president of New Jersey City University, Andrés Acebo, said: “We believe in the power of education to change lives. When we provide students with the resources they need for a successful school year, they feel better, do better, and perform with full heart and great pride.”

“As we prepare for a new school year, it is a pleasure to once again collaborate with Univision on the ‘Contigo Back to School’ campaign,” said NYC Chancellor of Education David C. Banks. “Our senior community leaders are eager to share the resources they have with parents and students in each community, and we’re excited to hear thoughts directly from our families about the upcoming school year to come.”

Notiias 41 Univision anchors Adriana Vargas, Esperanza Ceballos, Víctor Javier Solano and Ana Patricia Candiani will host the forum with NYC school officials and other education experts. In addition, members of the La X 96.3FM team will help distribute school supplies.

• NY Hall of Science in Queens on August 12,
• Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church in Brooklyn on August 13,
• Casita María in the Bronx on August 14,
• IS 143 in Manhattan on August 15
• New Jersey City University on August 16.
