RTL’s hit series is something of a crossbreed farmer looking for a wife in I quit. Owners of single Dutch B & Bs abroad are visited by several fellow countrymen, in the hope that a spark will break out.
In Austria’s Sankt Michael, that spark was hard to find for a long time last summer. The truck driver Harmjan (just like his “competitors”) did his best to win the heart of the chalet owner Astrid, but it turned out that she had built a sizable wall around it.
Astrid was not only critical of “her” men, but was also downright angry at times. This happened, for example, when Harmjan added more spice to the pasta while cooking than Astrid’s recipe prescribed. Astrid held back, but the next day she still berated Harmjan for “overstepping her limits.” She did not particularly thank him for the fact that she did not find her explanation necessary when she wanted to set up the trampoline for the children.
But what no one expected yet happened at the end of the season. When the cameras were already gone, Harmjan’s tenacity was rewarded and his love returned. In August, she announced that she had quit her job. A month later she left for Austria to manage the bed and breakfast together.
Now the two take the step towards the altar. Not much is known about it yet. well to know Viale RTL that the wedding cake is made by former attendee Inge from one of the All of Holland Baktseasons. Astrid would like a mocha cake, but apparently it’s hard to get to Austria.
