Partial State of Emergency Declared in Ardino due to Flooded Bridge from Arda River

A partial state of emergency has been declared again in the municipality of Ardino due to a bridge flooded by the waters of the Arda River. This was announced by the municipal administration.

The state of emergency applies to six settlements – Rusalsko, Lyubino, Latinka, Avramovo, Pesnopoi and Spoluka, which, due to heavy rains from yesterday and today, were left without a road connection.

The movement and residence of motor vehicles is prohibited on the designated critical sections, it is clear from the order of the mayor Izet Shaban.

We remind you that in April 2023, a partial state of emergency was declared again due to the heavy rain in the area and the flooded reinforced concrete bridge from the waters of the Arda River. The bridge connects Rusalsko, Lubino, Latinka, Avramovo, Pesnopoi and Spoluka with the municipal center and is the only road connection for local people.
