Partial solution achieved for Technikwerker GmbH

Hallbergmoos, October 11, 2024. Attorney Daniel Barth from PLUTA Rechtsanwalts GmbH, together with his colleague Maximilian Wanko, has achieved a partial solution in the insolvency proceedings of Technikwerker GmbH from Dorfen. The B2B division was sold to a local investor as part of an asset deal. The purchaser of the repair service and the business customer project business is Dorfen-based MEDIA-TECH GmbH. It was agreed not to disclose details of the purchase contract. Given the loss-making business, no investor solution was possible for the B2C sector.

The insolvency proceedings were opened on October 1, 2024. PLUTA restructuring expert Daniel Barth, who was already acting as provisional insolvency administrator, was appointed as insolvency administrator.

Technikwerker GmbH operated in two business areas – the B2C and B2B areas. The company operated a large electronics store in Dorfen, Upper Bavaria, under the brand Technikwerker – Der Heuschneider. Business operations had to be stopped. The existing goods were sold during the period of the preliminary insolvency proceedings. In addition to private customer business, the company offers extensive repair and support services for electrical devices for corporate customers such as hotels, hospitals and doctors. This area is profitable and has now been sold.

“Unfortunately, due to the lack of profitability, it was not possible to sustain the retail business. Nevertheless, we were able to find a solution for the B2B sector. I am very pleased. “This means we can achieve the best possible solution for the creditors,” says Barth, commenting on the partial success.

With the acquisition of the B2B business, MEDIA-TECH GmbH is continuing the successful business area for commercial and public clients and will further expand it.

Martin Greimel, Managing Director of MEDIA-TECH GmbH, says: “The acquisition is an ideal addition to our group of companies. This means we can expand our portfolio and offer our customers a comprehensive service with additional services.” The team we took over has specialized in the installation, maintenance and repair of electrical and electronic devices for many years. The company belongs to GREIMEL IT-Systemhaus GmbH, an expert for IT infrastructure, IT service and IT security.
