Partial municipal elections: Savigny-sur-Orge and Pré-Saint-Gervais delivered their verdict this Sunday

This Sunday, the voters of Savigny-sur-Orge in Essonne and Pré-Saint-Gervais in Seine-Saint-Denis were called to the polls to elect their mayor. The last municipal elections were invalidated by the Council of State in 2020 in these two municipalities.

The town hall of Savigny-sur-Orge is again on the right. The Republican candidate Alexis Teillet won the ballot with 42.13% of the vote. He is thus ahead of the EELV candidate Jean-Marc Dufrémont who won 38.97% of the vote.

In June 2020, the ecologist was elected at 34%. However, last October, justice decided to cancel this election. According to the Council of State, it had been distorted because of another candidate accused of fraud.

Another by-election was held this Sunday. At Pré-Saint-Gervais in Seine-Saint-Denis, the Socialists took over the town hall.

Socialist candidate Laurent-Baron was widely re-elected with 56.91% of the vote. His opponent, Grégoire Roger (without label) won 28.86% of the vote. Finally, the list of candidate La France Insoumise Delphine Debord reached 14.23%. This election was notably marked by a strong abstention. 64.5% of voters did not come.

The June 2020 election was invalidated by the Montreuil administrative court and then by the Council of State. Forty-two ballots “prejudicing the sincerity of the ballot“had been wrongly invalidated by the courts.
