At the exit of the ballot boxes of the 17 offices, the result of this partial municipal election of Lamentin
Jocelyn Sapotille 3428 votes or 52% of votes cast
José Toribio 2574 votes or 39% of votes cast
Reinette Juliard 535 or 8% of votes cast
As a result, the outgoing mayor will be able to regain his seat and continue the management of the municipality started since his first mandate.
However, it was not easy to achieve this result, many obstacles had to be overcome.
Firstly, the list of José Toribio not having submitted his ballot papers for the second round to the Prefecture in time, ballot papers which took into account the merger which took place for the second round with the list of Annick Abella, certain voters thought they had to use those from the first round. Ballot papers which were therefore considered invalid by the scrutineers.
However, and according to the scores recorded, the Toribio list could not have caught up with the lead that Jocelyn Sapotille had in front of it.
Jocelyn Sapotille therefore wins. He will find next week the seat of mayor of Lamentin
