In the football A class Würzburg 5, all the dice were already cast before the last match day: Baris Spor Lohr rises directly to the district class as champions, Schaippach and Partenstein can follow suit via the promotion relegation. Gemünden/Seifriedsburg II/Rieneck II as well as Wolfsmünster and Hofstetten have been relegated.
On the last day of the game, Ruppershütten snatched fourth place from Spvgg with a clear 3-0 home win against Waldzell and thus snatched away the golden pineapple. Partenstein only drew 2-2 at home against Wolfsmünster, with two Partenstein players blowing the fuses – one of the two verbal gaffes even led to a dismissal. Baris Spor Lohr proves with the second game with twelve goals in a row why it could also play a role in the district class.
The 46th goal of the season
A four-pack from Tayfun Göbek, a hat-trick from David Waters and many other goals that make it easy to lose track: Champion Baris Spor beat TSV Sackenbach 12:2 in the last game of the season. “Since we’ve been able to play freely, our quality has come to the fore,” says master trainer Ugur Sen, who crowned himself top scorer in the A-class 5 for the second time in a row with his 46th goal of the season.
Partenstein’s coach André Diehl described his team’s performance in the first half in the 2-2 draw against relegated Wolfsmünster as “unorganized chasing without structure”. The reason: because of verbal gaffes towards opposing players, two players from Partenstein saw a ten-minute penalty and a straight red after a few minutes. Wolfsmünster took advantage of this in the form of two goals, but still gave the win in the second half despite being outnumbered out of hand.
Early tour by Lengler
“We really wanted fourth place,” was Lukas Koenig’s explanation for the clear Ruppertshütten home win against Waldzell. The FCR board member also mentions the opponent’s problematic personnel situation and the early opening goal by Danny Lengler (7th) as a door opener for the 3-0 victory.
“Schaippach is enough for a strong 20 minutes in the first half,” said Andreas Ebert, reserve coach of FV Steinfeld/Hausen/Rohrbach, annoyed about the deserved 0:3 home defeat against Schaippach, in which three-packer Botan Hasan in particular warmed up for the relegation . Ebert also announced that he would hand over his position as head coach of the second team to his two coaching colleagues Benjamin Scheiner and Marcel Möhler in the 2023/24 season.
