Napoli increase the advantage in the 81st minute. Eljif Elmas fired a shot from outside the penalty box and was pushed over by Mirante. The ball vomited immediately by Mertens who was standing not far from the goal.
Six minutes later, Napoli sinks Rome even further. This time it was Matteo Politano’s turn to put his name on the scoreboard.
Starting from the neat cooperation built by Napoli, Politano dribbled from the front of the penalty box and passed several Roma defenders. He then passed Mirante and fired from a tight angle to find the Roma net.
