Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada Ruslan Stefanchuk announced this in Facebookrecalling that the Parliament of Ukraine also assessed the crimes of the Russian Federation.
“Thanks to the parliaments of the countries that have recognized Russia’s actions as genocide of the Ukrainian people! I sincerely believe that the number of states that support such a decision will only grow. Recognition of Russia’s crimes as genocide of the Ukrainian people is, first of all, respect for the memory of thousands of innocently killed Ukrainians, in particular children,” he said.

Stefanchuk noted that Russia must answer for the war crimes committed.
At the same time, he expressed the hope that “all civilized countries of the world share the position” of the Ukrainian parliament.
War in Ukraine:
On February 24, Russia launched a full-scale military invasion of the territory of independent Ukraine.
On April 14, the Verkhovna Rada recognized Russia’s actions in Ukraine as genocide of the Ukrainian people and called on the international community to do the same.
May 10, Lithuanian Seimas unanimously recognized Russia as a terrorist state. The resolution notes that the Russian occupiers have committed massive war crimes in Ukraine, in particular, in the Kiev region – in Borodyanka, Bucha, Irpin, Gostomel and in Mariupol, Donetsk region. In addition, the actions of the Russian Federation in Ukraine are genocide of the Ukrainian people.
