Representative Bilal Abdullah tweeted on his account via “Twitter”, writing: “The attack on Doctor Khaled Al-Khatib in this brutal manner is the height of persistence and insult to the medical body and hospital institutions in Lebanon, which calls, not only for condemnation, but for the imposition of the most severe penalties on the perpetrator and on everyone you allow.” He himself has committed these criminal acts.”
He added, “On behalf of the Parliamentary Health Committee, we wish the colleague a speedy recovery.”

The head of the Lebanese Medical Association in Beirut, Youssef Bakhash, also denounced, in a statement, “the brutal attack on Doctor Khaled Al-Khatib, the owner and director of the Doctors Hospital – Al-Manara, by a citizen who ambushed him and attacked him from behind by hitting him with a sharp object on the head and all over the body.”
