No matter which politician, journalist, citizen you ask who is the most “hot-tempered” pair of politicians (in the sense that they are constantly at odds) in the present, as well as in the previous Parliament, they will surely answer you Adonis Georgiadis and Paul Polakis.
A few times they verbally attacked each other, a few times they cursed publicly (and from a microphone), even lawsuits were filed by both of them. But what happens when Adonis and Polakis accidentally find themselves in front of an open door… an elevator?
The Pacemaker describes the scene that happened in the Parliament when Adonis Georgiadis and Pavlos Polakis met in front of an elevator. Adonis wanted to show what we call… “political culture” (maybe because there were no cameras) by telling Polakis if he wants to go up in the elevator together.
As reported by Vimatodotis, Polakis looked at him strangely with that familiar style of his and did not accept the invitation saying “it’s better, don’t let our guts turn on us in the morning…”.
Thus Adonis was deprived of the company of his “sworn enemy” for two floors. But not for long, because something happened in the Plenary about Polakis, when the latter was Deputy Minister of Health and Polakis met him at the Inquest Office and asked him for proof. A nice atmosphere.
