Parliament Speaker Nabih Berri, on the occasion of the first of August, congratulated the Lebanese Army’s leadership, commanders, officers, non-commissioned officers and soldiers.
Berri praised “the sacrifices she made for the sake of the unity of Lebanon and the preservation of its sovereignty and civil peace.”
He said, “The real greeting to this national institution is that all political parties evoke the army’s trinity in honor, sacrifice, and loyalty for the sake of Lebanon, liberating what remains of its land from the Israeli occupation, saving it, and preserving it as a homeland for all its children.”
President Berri also called General Joseph Aoun, congratulating him on the Army Day.
