The Parliament of Moldova voted to denounce the Convention on the CIS Interparliamentary Assembly in the first reading.
On July 7, Moldovan deputies denounced the Convention on the CIS Interparliamentary Assembly with 55 votes. The vote in Parliament took place in the first reading, write “News”.
“We don’t want to be with killers“, – said the Speaker of the Parliament, Igor Grosu, commenting on the decision of his colleagues.
The leader of the opposition bloc of communists and socialists, Vlad Batryncha, is dissatisfied with the results of his colleagues’ voting and insists on the need to preserve the agreements. The politician assures that without an agreement between Moldova and the CIS regarding parliamentary cooperation, it will be difficult for Chisinau to maintain relations with the Commonwealth states where Moldovan citizens live. The oppositionist probably does not believe in the success of his own Foreign Ministry.
The CIS Interparliamentary Assembly allows the parliaments of the Commonwealth member countries to work on issues of mutual interest.
