The draft amendment published on Monday in the chapter on proposed solutions for construction and housing assumes that two provisions of the Act will be brought back on enabling the preparation and implementation of housing investments and accompanying investments.

The second regulation that would be reinstated mandates that, for residential investment located in the downtown development area, the minimum number of parking spaces is at least equal to the number of residences in this investment.
The project also assumes that the commune council can specify the number of parking spaces for a specific housing investment in urban planning standards. Currently, the local government can decide the number of places, as long as it is higher than the amount prepared in the Act.
According to the Regulatory Impact Assessment, both investors and local governments are asking for changes to these regulations, as their current wording limits the association’s ability to change and adapt the mark to local conditions.
