Parisian official reveals hearing statements from policeman involved in the shooting of Nahel: Justification and details revealed

More than a week after the death of Nahel, 17, in Nanterre, the Parisian reveals what the policeman who shot said during his hearing.

How did Florian M., the policeman who fired the fatal shot, justify the death of 17-year-old Nahel in Nanterre after refusing to comply?

This Wednesday, July 5, the Parisian revealed the statements made by the police officer during his police custody who has since been indicted for “intentional homicide” and imprisoned in the prison of Health.

Aged 38, the policeman told investigators that he was on “his ninth consecutive day of work” when Nahel was arrested before explaining that he had feared for his colleague’s life.

Feeling “cornered”, wedged between the car and the wall behind him, he said he fired thinking that his colleague was going to be “embarked” when he had “the upper part of his body in the passenger compartment, probably to try to control the driver or to try to press the stop button on the ignition”.

However, according to the video images, the other policeman seemed to have only one arm in the passenger compartment.

As a reminder, it was in the evening, Tuesday June 27, that the police officer was placed in police custody several hours after the fact.
