Parisian companies paid on average 233 euros per employee

Medef has carried out a survey of Parisian business leaders which concludes that the strike cost on average 233 euros per employee in aid and support to employees who were embarrassed to get to work.

The strike, which has lasted for more than 40 days, cost businesses located in Paris an average of 233 euros per employee, according to the results of a survey carried out by Medef Paris among its members. Since the start of the movement against pension reform, many companies have taken measures to support their employees, in particular to remedy disruptions in transport or educational establishments. They are thus more than half (55%) to have financed alternative solutions, according to this poll released Wednesday.

Coworking, taxi, accommodation …

More than a third (36%) have thus taken charge of coworking places, for an average of 20 euros per day and per employee, 19% participated in the financing of alternative means of transport (taxi, hybrid car, carpooling, etc. ), while 18% of the companies surveyed contributed to the rental of accommodation near the employee’s workplace, an average of 76 euros per night in Paris.

Finally, 4% helped their employees to finance an alternative childcare solution. In terms of work organization, more than half of businesses (58%) used telework on average 1.5 days per week, 42% arranged work schedules and 65% postponed scheduled meetings to outside the workplace.

The survey was carried out on January 13 among nearly 10,000 member companies of Medef Paris, of which around 1,000 responded.
