Paris Unscripted Showcase is born, a new event on entertainment formats

Up to thirteen French production and distribution companies have joined forces to launch Paris Unscripted Showcase, whose first edition will be held in the capital of France from April 28 to 30, 2025.

Following the London TV Screenings model, this new event dedicated to entertainment formats has 2P2L, Arpagon, Banijay France, Can’t Stop Media, Dreamspark, Effervescence, France tv distribution, M6 Formats, Mediawan, Satisfaction, Tooco, Webedia y WeMake as the first companies on board.

Paris Unscripted Showcase will offer several sessions organized by the aforementioned companies. During the three days, they will show attendees their news in contests, talk shows, reality shows, social experiences, factuals, magazines… In addition, there will be the opportunity to meet its creators.

The year 2025 will be the first without MIPTVthe market for buying and selling television content that has been held for 61 editions in Cannes every spring. Its organizer, RX France, decided to close it due to the constant loss of attendees in recent years and opt for the creation of MIP London, events that will be held in February in parallel to the London TV Screenings and will include the markets specialized MIPDoc and MIPFormats. With the birth of Paris Unscripted Showcase comes what is surely the first event dedicated exclusively to entertainment content.

«For this first edition, we will have the collaboration of French players and the rest of Europe to celebrate the best possible showcase, thinking about buyers from all over the world. We expect procurement executives from the United States, Europe, Australia, China, Africa and the Middle East to come,” the organization comments in a press release.

And they add: «This is a unique opportunity to celebrate the innovation and diversity of non-fiction formats in France and the rest of Europe. “Paris Unscripted Showcase marks the beginning of a close collaboration between format producers and television stations on an international scale, to meet the current expectations of the global market.”
