Paris train station stabbing suspect charged with attempted murder | Abroad

The man who attacked people with a stabbing weapon in front of and in the Gare du Nord station in Paris on Wednesday is charged with attempted murder. This was reported by the French police on Thursday. Six people were injured in the stabbing.

The police questioned the man in the hospital. There he had surgery for injuries sustained when officers shot him. Nothing is yet known about the identity of the man and his motive.

The man gave a false name after his arrest. The police now know that he has come into contact with the police under different names for minor criminal acts.
