It is the day of the semi-finals for several Dutch people in Paris. The hockey players will try to follow the example of the men. Reigning Olympic champions Argentina will play in the semi-final at 2pm.
The program of the night will take place on the athletic track, where Nick Smidt and Lieke Klaver will be involved. Smidt wants to qualify for the final of the 400 meters hurdles at 7.35pm, just like Femke Bol.
At 8.45pm Klaver, who won gold in the 4×400 meters medley last weekend, will run her semi-final in the 400 metres.

And there will be more athletics this Wednesday. Maayke Tjin-A-Lim and Nadine Visser will run their first rounds in the 100 meter hurdles from 10.15am. An hour later, Mike Hoppen will enter the track in the first round of the 5,000 meters. Ryan Clarke will also start his competition in the first round of the 800 metres.
Golf
By then, golfer Anne van Dam has already advanced at Le Golf National for the first round of the women’s golf tournament. Van Dam starts at 9.11 am in the Olympic golf competition, where the Netherlands had a run like soap.
Joost Luiten, the highest ranked golfer in the Netherlands, was not allowed to attend the Dutch Golf Federation Games. To anger van Luiten himself – and Van Dam by the way.
Kanosprint
For a completely different sport, you can go to the Stade Nautique while playing golf. Last week the land of rowers, but now canoeists. Dutch Ruth Vorsselman and Selma Konijn will take to the water from 9.30am for the individual canoe sprint.

At 1.26pm Hetty van de Wouw and Steffie van der Peet will be involved in the first round of the keirin. There are no medal chances yet. It’s one of those days where there’s nothing to gain and everything to lose.
