Paris: thanks to Twitter, she finds the reservist firefighter who saved her husband

PARIS – It’s a beautiful story, which was born thanks to social networks.

During the week, a jogger victim of a cardiac arrest in the Monceau park in Paris is rescued by a reserve firefighter, who gives him a cardiac massage, report The Parisian.

The wife of this jogger, who then tries to join her husband worried about his non-return, will eventually come across the voice of a doctor present in the ambulance transporting her husband to the Pompidou hospital. Thanks to the “intense” and effective cardiac massage of the firefighter at the park, only less than a minute after the cardiac arrest, he will finally remain safe and sound.

But where is the one who now owes her life?

Determined to thank her, the jogger’s wife writes 7 or 8 similar messages that she will paste the next day with her children in Parc Monceau.

One of the messages was then posted on Twitter by a walker who took a picture of it, and quickly went viral. “Thanks to someone who gave him cardiac massage, he survived and will have little after-effects. Thank you from all our family ”, we can read in particular.

Direct witnesses to the scene then begin to contact the jogger’s wife, telling her what happened. But still no trace of the hero firefighter.

Jean Castex’s message

Finally, after three days of searching, it was thanks to the Paris Fire Brigade (BSPP) that she was found.

A meeting between the two women was even organized this Sunday, May 2 at Parc Monceau.

Reservist firefighter, Marion is in life a teacher and sports coach. She was at Parc Monceau on Wednesday for a muscle building class with members of the Butte de Montmartre gym club. “We were making wheels. While accompanying the girls to their parents, I saw a man lying on a bench, in PLS. I approached ”, she tells the Parisian.

She who has done “a lot” of heart massages “as a reserve firefighter for more than two years” is going to do wonderfully. “I asked for the park’s defibrillator to be brought to me,” she explains to the Parisian, before guiding the other witnesses on the scene to apply the patches. “The pulse has returned. The firefighters have arrived, ”she concludes.

Prime Minister Jean Castex warmly congratulated the reserve firefighter, “everyday heroine”, after her saving act.
