The French newspaper “Le Parisien” confirmed this Wednesday evening that the administration of Paris Saint-Germain had reached a preliminary agreement with Lionel Messi to renew the latter’s contract.
According to “Le Parisien”, Messi has no intention of leaving at the end of the season, and wants to continue with Paris Saint-Germain until June 2024.
The French newspaper indicated that negotiations lasted 3 months between Jorge Messi, his father, and the Parisian club, which ultimately resulted in an agreement to continue with the team.
The newspaper revealed that Messi wants to win another Champions League title and finds in Paris the biggest opportunity to achieve the desired goal in the coming period.
In the same context, the Spanish newspaper “Sport” said that the agreement for the renewal of the contract was made between Paris Saint-Germain and Messi, for a period of one season, with another season optional.
