Djokovic won the match in one hour and 43 minutes, 7-6 (7-1) and 6-4.
In the next round, Djokovic will face qualification in the match between Russian Karen Khachanov and Swiss Mark Andrea Heusler.

In another match, within the same round, the 9th seeded of the world, the Russian Andrey Rublev, qualified for the round of 16, beating the 47th seed, the American John Isner.
Rublev finished the game in 62 minutes, winning two sets without a match, 6-2 and 6-3.
The Russian player tries to get the most points in this tournament, to secure a place in the top ten in the world ranking of professional tennis players and to try to qualify for the finals of the tournament.
