Paris on a business trip

Traveling to Albania’s FK Vllazniak on Thursday evening during matchday 4 of the Women’s Champions League group stage, PSG have no other goal than to come back with a one-win lead.

It seems increasingly likely that Paris Saint-Germain will have to settle for second place in their group at most in this first phase of the 2022-2023 Women’s Champions League. The English side of Chelsea, who the Parisians will visit on the last day, have in fact taken a five-point lead and therefore an option for pole position.

This still doesn’t mean that this second place is guaranteed, far from it. Real Madrid are very enthusiastic about her, and the Parisians obviously have her in mind when they travel to Albania this Thursday evening (6.45pm, UEFAtv) for Matchday 4 of the competition. Despite the 5-0 victory at the expense of KF Vllaznia two weeks earlier (image above)any overconfidence is to be avoided on this journey.

Three more points will be appreciated by Gérard Prêcheur’s boys in view of the arrival of Real Madrid in Paris on 16 December, a match that can already be defined as “key” for qualification for the quarter-finals, an essential objective for the vice-champion of France.
