With eight stages, Paris-Nice 2023 will not escape the rules and retirements will be on the agenda at one time or another. And this first stage very nearly had its first abandonment with Thibault Guernalec (Arkéa Samsic) who fell heavily in the final but who still managed by dint of courage to cross the finish line, alone, ranked 154th.

Different reasons such as a fall, illness, physical fatigue, an out of time, can explain a retirement from a cycling event. Find all the withdrawals from Paris-Nice 2023
