Paris New Year Festivities: A Spectacular Transition to 2024 on Avenue des Champs-Élysées

A sensational decor to celebrate the transition to the new year. In Paris, the crowd was presenton the evening of Sunday December 31, on theavenue des Champs-Élysées to attend the New Year festivities. The traditional fireworks was shot to the top of the Arc de Triomphe as the year 2024 kicks off.

According to the Minister of the Interior, Gérald Darmanin, more than 800,000 people were present on the most beautiful avenue in the world to celebrate the transition to the new year. For the occasion, a large security system was put in place in the capital and its inner suburbs. 6,000 police officers and gendarmes were mobilized for December 31.

THE Olympic Games, which will take place from July 26 to August 11, were celebrated throughout the evening. On the music side, Slimane and the group Hermes House Bandknown for his cover of the title I Will Survivewere notably present on the Avenue des Champs-Élysées.
