Paris Aéroport traffic at half mast in July 2020

– 77.1% compared to July 2019, this is the traffic trend for Paris Aéroport (Roissy and Orly) in July 2020.

A drastic drop that can be explained by the many restrictions implied by the global coronavirus pandemic. International traffic at the two Ile-de-France airports (outside Europe) is thus down by 85.5%, with a peak of almost -95% in Asia-Pacific and -94% in America. The decrease in traffic with Africa is 81.5% and that with the DROM-COM 50.4%. Intra-European flights also fell sharply compared to summer 2019, by around 76.2%. Within mainland France, the drop in ADP traffic is 55.2%.

The number of connecting passengers is also logically in decline, in the order of 79.6%. The connection rate at Paris Aéroport stood at 17.4%, down 2.5 points compared to July 2019. In total, 2.4 million passengers were welcomed at Roissy and Orly in July 2020, including 1.72 million at Roissy and 0.68 million at Orly.

Cumulatively since the start of the year, Paris Aéroport traffic is down 64.7% with a total of 22.2 million passengers. The number of connecting passengers is down 62.2%. The connection rate, however, was 24.3%, up 1.9 pts.

These figures reflect the general trend within the ADP group which operates airports elsewhere in the world.
