One of the athletes that fans were most looking forward to seeing in the Paris 2024 Olympic Games era Simone Biles. After her withdrawal from Tokyo 2020, the American generated high expectations and so far has not failed to deliver.
The original of Columbus, Ohio already has gold in the team event, as well as in the all-around and individual vault. With this, the 27-year-old gymnast now has ten Olympic medals, confirming her status as the most successful American gymnast.
The American already has three golds in Paris 2024
Of her ten medals, seven are gold, so Simone is close to equalling a record of Larisa LatyniaThe Soviet ended her career with 18 Olympic medals, a figure that still seems far away for Biles, who still does not know if she will make it to Los Angeles in 2028.
However, as far as gold medals are concerned, Latynia managed to win nine at the summer Games. So the American could reach that historic record before leaving the French capital, as she still has two more Finals left: the floor and the balance beam, two of the American’s toughest events.
