The finals went as we had dreamed. Only three runs separated our champion and world record holder from the Olympic gold. The first run with the Spaniard Leslie Adriana Romero Pérez was completed by the Pole calmly and in full control. 6.35 and the transition to the duel with Ola Kałucka!
In the final, Ola Kałucka also won her first race confidently, and her opponent was the Chinese Zhou Yafei. Unfortunately, the bracket meant that we had a fratricidal duel. The Polish race was very fast. Ola Mirosław did 6.19, and Ola Kałucka beat her personal best with a time of 6.34.
First, Aleksandra Kałucka entered the impressive stage in Paris. Her rival was Rajiah Sallsabillah. The Indonesian also achieved her personal best of 6.41 in her previous race. Ola withstood the pressure, and the Indonesian made a mistake, and we have bronze!
And the most important race, in which Aleksandra Mirosław competes with the steady and confident Chinese Lijuan Deng. Ola 6.10, Lijuan 6.18! Gold!
The Pole makes history as the first Olympic champion in speed climbing. She adds this laurel to her two world championship titles (2018, 2019).
